Book in vg+ condition, owners name plate to inside front cover soft blue/grey cover and decelled edges. No jacket but in orgin. Slip case. Slipcase has creases and marks but ow excellent condition. Facsmile of the first edition. 1786.; 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall.

Dublin Printed for William Gilbert 1787 Leather Very Good-
Detached front board otherwise VG+. Text block and rest clean and tight. Illustred frontis. Contemporary name inscription to title page. Page 106 numbered as 16 (as usual). Piracy. Green stained edges. Pp 274. ; 7" x 4.25" x .75"; ** "William Gilbert of Dublin had an arrangement with Magee who shipped printed sheets of the text to him. Things went well for the two publishers, and they reissued their piracies in 1789 and 1790; when the 1793 edition of Burns's poems appeared in Edinburgh, Magee soon followed suit. While there was not a specific 1793 edition published in Dublin, copies of the second volume of the Belfast edition were sent to Dublin where they were bound with the first volume of the Dublin 1790 imprint, thus making the full text of the 1793 edition available in Dublin."
